Dumfries House & Troon

Dumfries House is one of Britain’s most beautiful stately homes. Set in 2000 acres of land, this stunning estate and 18th century house with its unrivalled collection of original furniture has something to for everyone.

Price includes a grand tour of Dumfries House which lasts approximately 90 minutes and Afternoon Tea which includes Tea/Coffee, finger sandwich selection, cake/cream scone selection.

Saved by the intervention of His Royal Highness Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay in 2007, Dumfries House combines the neoclassical architecture of Robert Adam with the furniture of Thomas Chippendale and leading 18th century Scottish cabinet makers.

Today we will have a grand guided tour which lasts about 90 minutes followed by Afternoon tea in the house.

We will also visit the small seaside town of Troon, probably best known for the golf course, however it is also a popular coastal town overlooking the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig, Troon also boasts stunning sandy beaches and an esplanade ideal for walking, cycling and wheelchair use.
